Teens and Technology Guide

Nearly 6,000 teens die in car crashes every year. The number one cause of fatal teen crashes are driver error and speeding. A teen's knowledge of how to handle a dangerous situation when driving is very limited because they just don't have the experience that adults do. If you combine this with distractions such as passengers, cell phones and other technology, the combination is deadly...and it's killing our teens! What can you do as a parent? Talk to your teens about safe driving practices, get them plenty of time behind the wheel and institute a Parent-Teen Driving Contract. Several are available online and are completely free of charge.
