Family Connection is a non-profit child and family services agency providing services for Shelby County, Alabama and the Greater Birmingham Metropolitan area. Through a variety of crisis prevention and intervention programs, Family Connection is dedicated to building positive futures for the community’s most vulnerable children, teens and families. 

Each year, Family Connection serves more than 10,000 children, teens and families through our group home for at-risk youth, runaway and homeless youth center, school based counseling, family support groups, safe sites for youth in crisis, and homeless outreach.   

Family Connection was founded by community volunteers, who opened
the organization’s Attention Home over thirty years ago. It is through
the generous support of community volunteers, business leaders and
donors that Family Connection has been able to continue its mission of
strengthening communities by building strong youth and families.
